Also, there could be registry corruption. I'm not a big fan of registry cleaners, but you might try one first without allowing it to fix anything just to see if there are errors. CCleaner is a good...

I use CCleaner and Advanced WindowsCare Personal 2 - both of which are very safe to use. The latter programme is somewhat stronger than CC and excellent I find at sorting out a fair few glitches.

Spoke to soon .. error message returned...UPDATE..Contacted Corel and explained the problem. Their thoughts were that a file had got corrupted and they sent me instructions for a clean uninstall....
